Performance is a living, breathing art. There are NO RETAKES in performances. What you do is live. So, do your best the FIRST Time!!
However, in accordance with CMS policy, I do entertain singing and written test retakes. The highest achievable retake grade is an "79".
This year SCMS grading scale is:
90-100 A
80-89 B
70-79 C
60-69 D
0-59 F
65% of each grade will come from formal assessments, 35% will come from informal assessments.
Class Requirements:
All students must keep a choral binder (3 ringed with pockets). This will actually serve as the text book for this class and will include:
Important dates to remember, grading rubrics, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade North Carolina Essential Standards in Choral Music, returned class and homework assignments, tests, actual choral music, student notes, pencil and highlighters. Students will have all they need to study for written and singing tests.
